For new bakers, I will walk you through it every step of the way. And experienced bakers, please chip in with your comments and knowledge as well.

Have a friend who has wanted to get started? Invite them to join our Facebook Group and enter the challenge as well.

April 8

Challenge begins, and we’ll have some fun prizes to hand out at the end.

April 8-22

We will be focusing on creating and feeding your starter (I’m going to make a gluten-free starter and show you how). Post how you’re doing and any questions you have along the way.

April 22-28

Post your first bake – good or not-quite-what-you-expected, let’s see that bread!

May 1

I will announce the winners and prizes will be given. Winners will be determined by the number of likes each post gets. So the more photos, the more someone gets to see your work and vote for you.

There will be two categories:

Beginner – I just made my first loaf of sourdough (or one of my first)

Experienced – I just tried something new

Professional bakers not eligible for prizes, but we’d love to see you participate with something new for you too (this group is all about learning!). We’d love for you to post a bake the week of April 22-28 so you can showcase your business.
