How to Roast Garlic

“I just love roasted garlic & rosemary as inclusions in my sourdough!”

I would love more FREE recipes and tips straight to my IN BOX!

There is nothing like the smell of fresh rosemary from my garden, except the smell of roasted garlic with rosemary in my sourdough. It is my absolute favorite sourdough bread. You've got to try it!

Prep Time: 5 min

Cook Time: 50 min

Ingredients

  • 1-6 heads of garlic

  • 1 teaspoon (per head of garlic) extra-virgin olive oil

  • Mama Nancy's Seasoning Salt to taste

Preparation Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 400º F.

2. Cut the top off the head of garlic and place in a small Dutch oven. Pour olive oil on top and season with Mama Nancy’s Seasoning.

3. Roast until garlic is soft, 50 minutes. Let cool until just warm. Squeeze and the cloves will pop out the top. Smash them a bit when you add them to your sourdough as an inclusion.

4. (Or wrap in foil and place in the Air Fryer at 380º F for 20 minutes.)

NOTE
Roast garlic in your Dutch Oven or air fryer for a quick and easy way to add flavor to lots of dishes. Add roasted garlic to your pasta sauces, mashed potatoes, avocado toast or use it simply for garlic toast.
