Savory Butter Candle
“This roasted garlic and rosemary butter candle really added a great flavor to this loaf of plain sourdough.”
I would love more FREE recipes and tips straight to my IN BOX!
I love the flavor of roasted garlic & rosemary, whether it's in my bread or on it. Don't have rosemary? Not a problem! Use any of your favorite herbs to season this butter candle.

1 Head Roasted Garlic, chopped fine
Preparation Steps
In a mixing bowl, combine ingredients thoroughly. Place in a mold or small ramekin.
If you want to make a butter candle, use an edible wick. The one I used is Milivixan 100% organic hemp with edible grade beeswax. I folded over 1/4” in the bottom of my mold to help it stay down. Spread the butter mixture in the silicone mold, carefully keeping the wick in the center. Chill two hours or up to 2 days.
Many people make them in paper cups, but I chose to use a silicone muffin tin. In the future, I would suggest making it a 3-wick candle as the butter would melt faster.
NOTE
This is a great way to enjoy your sourdough.
